| The
History of Capodimonte Ceramica
The origin of Capodimonte porcelain dates back
to the early eighteenth century and geographically to the
Kingdom of Naples. Thanks to King Carlo III, a factory was
ordered to be built in 1743 to manufacture porcelain. The
art has been handed down from century to century. In the present
these prized secrets, carefully cherished, are the basis and
tradition that give it worldwide recognition.
The current state of art, even though it is
contained in its traditions, is however in search of new expressive
styles of this ancient school. For these reasons we have searched
throughout Italy and brought to you a patented and innovative
production of the capodimonte ceramic called “Porcellana
Screziata”. This is taught, drawn, and realized completely in Naples, Italy, the inimitable world capital of Porcelain. This new way of manufacturing makes it still more valued, and makes it different from importation and imitations.
Leaves, flowers, petals, and colors, blend in
a dance of engravings and shapes never seen before.
Each uniquely manufactured piece is infused with nature in its perfect imperfection, and generates admiration and comment.
